Astrology is More than just your Sun Sign!

Based on what month and day you were born, you usually understand yourself to be a Pisces if you were born March 15th, or a Gemini if you were born June 11th, or a Leo if you were born August 2nd. However, this sign you know yourself to be is only one of many signs that details your many facets. This is only your "Sun" sign. You have a sign for every planet of the solar system. (Yes, even Pluto, even though he's not considered a planet anymore...)

Your Sun sign might be in Pisces, or Gemini, or Leo. But your sign in Mars for example could be Sagittarius or Aries or Scorpio. Each planet has it's own sign. And what does it mean that you have a sign in each planet you ask? Well there's a reason why all people who claim to be Tauruses don't all have the exact same personalities. Just as your personality and each everyone else's is multi-faceted and no two people have the exact same personality, everyone has a complex astrological chart of which no two charts are exactly the same. Even twins don't share the exact same astrological charts!

In this post, I will give a brief description of what each planet means in terms of the sign it's in. Later in my blog, I will give a more in depth of each planet and how each sign is represented in this planet.

Sun - This planet, the one you are most familiar with in Astrology, is the base or background of your persona. It is probably the most influential aspect to your personality.

Moon - Not a planet, but it also has its own sign representation. It represents your unconscious, your emotions, what's going on deep inside yourself.

Mercury - This planet represents communication; how you communicate with others and how others are able to communicate with you.

Venus - As we all know, it is the planet of love. It represents how we love, what we love, and how we want to be loved.

Mars - Known as the planet that men are from, because it represents physical energy, libido, aggression. It shows how we deal with conflict and competition.

Jupiter - This is expansive planet represents our success, our luck, our happiness. It shows us where we can find our fortunes in life.

Saturn - The great teacher of planets. It is the responsible planet that shows us ethics, hard work, and discipline. How do we work and how do we learn?

Uranus - The planet of revolution and spontaneity. It governs inventions, creativity, an discovery.

Neptune - Mystery and imagination are what this planet is about. It is in charge of your dreams and fantastical thoughts.

Pluto - This planet governs humanity as a whole. It creates, it destroys, it transforms. It is the great transformation planet.

Ascendant - This is not a planet but equally important. It is represented by the exact time and location you are born on the globe. It represents how you appear to others, the first impression.

Next post, I will go into how you can find out your signs associated with each planet to get a better understanding of yourself.

Why You Should Learn Astrology!

Hello,

My name is Raziel, but you can call me Raz for short. This is officially my first blog post.I am wanting to start a blog about my Journey into discovering Astrology and how it can relate to our personal lives and our interaction with other people. My first set of blog posts, I want to go step by step and take a look at how each planetary body affects us at it's position the moment we are born. Then I would like to take a depth-look behind the traits of each zodiac sign and their mythological history along with the planets they rule.

So why should you learn astrology? Honestly, because people nor myself to myself have never made much sense until I started studying Astrology. Maybe you know someone who seems to like to argue a lot, or seems to have a lot of "fiery" energy or passion. This would appear to be a possible influence of Aries. Maybe you know someone who is very spontaneous but also very flaky and can't seem to keep their mind straight. They could be influenced by the sign of Gemini. Maybe you have an intense urge to travel the world and learn about other cultures and you've never been so attached to staying at home. You could possibly be influenced by Sagittarius!

I would like to note I am no professional Astrologist. But I have a lot of passion into finding out why people act the way they do, and I find Astrology very fascinating. And so far, it has held the best explanation about why people are the way they are. I am still currently learning about the intricacies of Astrology, but you can learn with me and maybe give me some insights I haven't thought of yet! So please follow me on my Journey to discovering astrology and hopefully as we learn, we can take this knowledge to make improvements in our lives and for a better understanding of the dynamics between us and other people.
